= Travel Grants and Extended Early Bird Registration for WSTNet Web Science Summer School 2016 = Due to several sponsors we are able to offer travel funds for students. Many thanks to our sponsors SlideWiki, Open University with the projects Comrades, DecarboNet, and ReelLives as well as ZIFET from the University Koblenz-Landau! Also, we extended the Early Bird registration phase to 30 April. Register soon at <http://wwsss16.webscience.org/content/registration> to benefit from our Early Bird Fee of 200 €. We blocked affordable rooms at nearby hostels and hotels for WWSSS16 participants until end of April. There are still some rooms available. In addition, some participants will be able to stay at Web Science students from the University of Koblenz-Landau. Details will follow soon on our website: <http://wwsss16.webscience.org/content/accommodation> The WSTNet Web Science Summer School 2016 will take place from 30 June to 6 July in Koblenz (Germany), in the UNESCO world heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Keynotes and tutorials will provide participants with an insight into the key areas of Web Science: * Introduction to Web Science, * Computational Social Science, * Social Machines, * Web and Politics, * Web Entrepreneurship, * Web and Law. In addition to these tutorials and keynotes, participants will consolidate their insights in project work, supervised by experts in the related fields. Invited speakers and tutors include Jim Hendler, Noshir Contractor, Stéphane Bazan, Nikolaus Forgó, Steffen Staab, Markus Strohmaier, Elena Simperl, Simon Köhl, and others. Beside working in teams, we will provide an inspiring and enjoyable environment with plenty of opportunities to connect with other attendees and established researchers in the field of Web Science. This includes a poster session where participants present their research and obtain feedback on it as well as several social events and an excursion. Corresponding to the transdisciplinary curriculum, WWSSS’16 welcomes anyone interested in the field of Web Science, regardless of their discipline. We look forward to meet you in person at WWSSS’16!
