However, there is a contingent that want to build the social web on top of linked data standards such as linked data platform. Personally, I think your approach is the best way and extending opegraph to the whole web makes a lot of sense. For your use case my thoughts are : 1. status updates go in a timeline graph 2. pictures go in a document in the timeline 3. documents can be annotated and searched 4. likes or even payments operate in the same way between two URIs and with an optional context I would also look at openlink data spaces > > thanks in advance. > Gio >
