Hi: We recently published a new section on the nature.com site: 'nature.com ontologies'. This site describes the RDF ontologies used by Macmillan Science and Education for content publishing. The site is located at: http://www.nature.com/ontologies This is a continuation of our previous work at data.nature.com [1,2]. We have improved our core model and related domain models and are now starting to make these available in a new release. This 2015-03-30 release includes a core model: * Core Ontology - An OWL ontology defining the classes and properties used by Macmillan S&E together with the following domain models: * Blogs Ontology - A SKOS taxonomy detailing the blogs published by Macmillan S&E * Journals Ontology - A SKOS taxonomy detailing the journals published by Macmillan S&E * Subjects Ontology - A SKOS taxonomy detailing the subject areas used to categorize publications by Macmillan S&E We are making these available both for inspection and download. The core model is available under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license, and the domain models under a Creative Commons Zero 1.0 (CC0 1.0) waiver. It should be noted that what we are releasing here is a subset of the actual Core Ontology used in our content production systems. It is expected that there will be periodical enhancements and additions to it based on new datasets. We also expect to complement these datasets with new releases of the article metadata for the full nature.com archive in the coming months. Comments and feedback are welcome. In particular, we are interested in enriching our data with links to other datasets and would very much appreciate any suggestions from the community.
