Description: ------------------ The Department of Informatics and the Knowledge Reuse Research Group need to fill a Visiting Professor position. This position will begin on September 1st, 2014. Applicants must have completed a PhD. in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field by the application closing date. Candidates must show exceptional promise in both research and teaching areas. The target areas of interest to cover in this position includes (but not limited to): -Software Engineering -Systems Engineering -Software Architecture -UML and SysML modeling -Model-based Engineering -Requirements Engineering -Knowledge-based Systems -Information Retrieval The candidate is expected to work with researchers from other disciplines across the University and industrial partners around the world. Candidates will have a strong background on Software engineering and will be able to demonstrate the ability to undertake interdisciplinary research and to contribute to the development of a new wave of Software Engineering education programmes at both Bachelor and Master levels. The candidate should have a strong track record in relevant fields of Software Engineering. Furthermore a substantial external reputation should be demonstrated with special emphasis of academic potential through high-quality research publications. The expected candidate must have good ability to write and read English in order to prepare and teach courses as University teacher. Knowledge about Spanish language is not necessary but it would be valued.
