Free LOD2 Webinar on lightweight text analytics based on Linked Data with conTEXT

Hi,
(Apologies for cross-posting)

On January 30, 4:00 PM CET the LOD2 project (http://lod2.eu) will offer a
free one-hour webinar on conTEXT - a platform for lightweight text
analytics based on Linked Data (University of Leipzig, AKSW)

conTEXT enables social Web users to semantically analyze text corpora (such
as blogs, RSS/Atom feeds, Facebook, G+, Twitter or SlideWiki.org decks) and
provides novel ways for browsing and visualizing the results. The platform
is available at http://context.aksw.org
.
RDF and Linked Data is used in conTEXT in particular in the following ways:

*
)
The Linked-Data aware Natural Language Interchange format (NIF) is used for
integrating various NLP tools.
*
)
The FOX and DBpedia-Spotlight Linked Data based disambiguation ensures that
we work with real-world entities instead of surface forms.
*
)
Linked Data background knowledge is used to enrich the result of the
analysis and provide upper-level ontological knowledge for facilitating the
exploration.
*
)
Semantic annotations are encoded in RDFa and can be re-integrated back into
the original data sources.

The Webinar will include an overview on the current architecture/workflow
of the conTEXT system demonstrating a live demo of the tool. In particular,
we will focus on the above Linked Data components and their integration
into the conTEXT.
