vocabularies events*: Linking and Opening Vocabularies (LOV) Symposium &
SKOS-2-HIVE Workshop (in Spanish and English).

*18 June, 2012, LOV symposium.  *A day long-symposium to address
challenges, solutions, and research specific to linking and opening
vocabularies on the global web. Participation is free and open to all
attendees, presenters, and general participants/viewers. Registration is
required. Attendance can be in person or virtual.

*19 June 2012, SKOS-2-HIVE workshop* (in Spanish and English). The
SKOS-2-HIVE workshop targets the use of semantic web technologies for
representing and describing collections using multiple controlled
vocabularies. The workshop focuses on basic understanding and usage of
W3C's Simple Knowledge Organization Systems (SKOS), linked data, and the
HIVE library of open source applications.

The registration for these two events is free. Nevertheless the number of
places is limited. Please fill in your information to register for one or
both of these events. You will receive a confirmation e-mail of your
acceptance to the workshop and/or symposium. For the symposium they will
have preference those people presenting a position paper (see all the
information above about the CfP).
Attendants are encouraged to bring their own laptops and other devices. We
will also facilitate online/remote participation.
