PhD position at L3S Research Center

The L3S Research Center, Hannover, Germany, invites applications for a
PhD student position.

Your research will be in the context of a new international research
project led by the L3S. The project aims at accelerating the large-scale
adoption of Web data, in particular Linked Data, in data-intensive and
highly innovative applications, particularly for the general scenario of
Web-based education. Your research will focus on topics in one or more 
of the following areas:

* Semantic Web and Linked Data technologies
* Evaluation of data-intensive applications and (distributed) systems
* Integration and interlinking of distributed data
* Exploitation of Web data for Web-based education

in a challenging, unique and international research environment.

You should possess good knowledge in one or several areas relevant for
the topics specified in this announcement. Good proficiency in English
is expected, as well as an outstanding Diploma or M.Sc. in Computer
Science. German language skills are useful, but not mandatory.
International experience during your studies or afterwards, as well as
good social and communication skills are helpful.

The salary amounts to German TV-L E13, which is roughly 40.000 to
50.000 Euro gross income per year. Part-time employment is possible.
