Hi, Short story: If you want to find someone's ePrints URI, look it up at http://sameas.org/store/email/ Eg http://sameas.org/store/email/?uri=vf22@kent.ac.uk Long story: I've been doing some work on bringing more ePrints into our RKB Linked Data infrastructure (also see other forthcoming messages). I noticed that quite a few repositories use an email address to construct the URI for authors. So I have extracted the email address from the URI and put the data into a sameAs store: http://sameas.org/store/email/ So for those URIs, you can get from an email address to the URI by something like http://sameas.org/store/email/?uri=vf22@kent.ac.uk If you want to do the sameAs-ness as well, add a "&federate=true", so it is: http://sameas.org/store/email/?uri=andycyu@dcs.warwick.ac.uk&federate=true Of course, for some people this will link to all sorts of further datasets, since it federates to the main sameAs.org store. If you want it as text or json, use content negotiation or change the URI base to have the format in: http://sameas.org/store/email/text?uri=andycyu@dcs.warwick.ac.uk&federate=true Some ePrints repos seem to use the email address without the domain on, for example http://oro.open.ac.uk/id/person/ext-em5 I think this means that em5@open.ac.uk should give a URI of http://oro.open.ac.uk/id/person/ext-em5 If yours is one of those, then please feel free to send me the data to do that. Actually, a list of <URI> email will do nicely. In fact, anyone who wants to send me such files is most welcome to. And if you want to send me other files with pairs of Linked Data URIs, the I will endeavour to put them in. Anything else you think might be useful, please feel free to ask.
