Hi! Last year at the Semantic Web in Libraries conference I presented Beacon, a text-based format to transport large numbers of uniform links [1]. Beacon has been used especially to exchange links based on the German authority file GND to records in library catalogs, bibliographies and other resources [2]. Although the primary use case was to exchange plain HTML links, Beacon can also be used as dense serialization format for specific kinds of RDF graphs with many uniform links between two data sets. I am about to finalize the specification to be later published as RFC: http://gbv.github.com/beaconspec/beacon.html http://gbv.github.com/beaconspec/beacon.txt Corrections and implementations are very welcome: https://github.com/gbv/beaconspec Jakob [1] http://www.slideshare.net/nichtich/voss-111129-beacon [2] http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:BEACON -- Verbundzentrale des GBV (VZG) Digitale Bibliothek - Jakob Voß Platz der Goettinger Sieben 1 37073 Goettingen - Germany +49 (0)551 39-10242 http://www.gbv.de jakob.voss@gbv.de
