The Rule Interchange Format (RIF) is now a W3C Recommendation. W3C News announcement: http://www.w3.org/News/2010#entry-8839 MITnews article, which provides a nice high-level view, written for an audience who has never heard of the Semantic Web: http://web.mit.edu/newsoffice/2010/semantic-web-0622.html I'll be very interested to see some linked data client libraries start to harvest and use RIF. It's one of the next big steps in making this ecosystem really take off. -- Sandro
