All, One thing that should emerge from this server side faceted browser demo is the impact of inferencing based on UMBEL ontology. Remember, UMBEL provides binding between the OpenCyc Upper Ontology and domain specific ontologies such as FOAF. Compare items 1&2 for an example of the effect of this Ontology "Meshup": 1. http://linkeddata.uriburner.com/about/html/http://xmlns.com/foaf/0.1/Person (no UMBEL inferencing enabled) 2. http://b3s.openlinksw.com/about/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fxmlns.com%2Ffoaf%2F0.1%2FPerson&sid=177 (UMBEL inferencing enabled) Note the expanse of the FOAF vocabulary's graph courtesy of UMBEL linkage to other ontologies via Equivalence, Subclass, and other links (what Fred refers to as "domain explosion" in some of his blog posts). -- Regards, Kingsley Idehen Weblog: http://www.openlinksw.com/blog/~kidehen President& CEO OpenLink Software Web: http://www.openlinksw.com
