RE: Countries and ISO 3166

Hi,

The ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country codes for instance are used at geonames. 
The following sample query on the geonames web service returns the RDF description of the country with ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 of 'AT'
http://ws.geonames.org/search?country=AT&fclass=A&type=rdf&maxRows=1

There is something similar on dbpedia as well:
http://dbpedia.org/resource/ISO_3166-1:AT
