Request for comments: final specification of DAIA

Hi,

I have reasons to believe that the Document Availability Information API 
(DAIA) will succeed as most practical API to get information about the 
availability of holdings in libraries, at least if in open, environments 
such as the Web (standards such as NCIP, SLNP etc. will never be used 
outside of closed library systems).

I'd like to finally specify DAIA in a "version 1.0" that covers most 
relevant use cases to a degree that we all can work with, so I am hereby 
asking for comments. The current state is summarized:

In particular I am interested in problematic cases such as digital (e.g. 
licensed) publications, limitation types, special services etc.
I doubt that DAIA (or any other system) will fully handle all these 
cases but at least a common generalization of most typical cases should 
be possible with DAIA.

I prefer answers at the daia-devel-mailing list but you can comment 
anywhere you like as long as it is linkable at the Web.
