Community Group Calls!

Greetings all!

The JSON-LD Working Group has wrapped our final call last Friday. The JSON-LD 1.1 specs are heading through the process pipeline and we're hopefully will reach final Recommendation status in the coming months:
https://www.w3.org/TR/json-ld11/

https://www.w3.org/TR/json-ld11-api/

https://www.w3.org/TR/json-ld11-framing/

Going forward, we'd like to move the work and conversations back into the Community Group.

There's a number of 1.1 API implementations en route and we'd love to use this space for all of them to collaborate:

There's a growing collection of interesting work that fell outside of the Working Group's charter, but would be well within the bounds for the Community Group to explore (see the "defer-future-version" labels on the various repos):

https://github.com/w3c/json-ld-api/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+label%3Adefer-future-version

https://github.com/w3c/json-ld-framing/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+label%3Adefer-future-version

As well as increased activity on the json-ld.org repo--which we've used in the past for all CG related topics/ideas/issues:

To get this party started, the JSON-LD CG Chairs (myself, Rob Sanderson, and Gregg Kellogg) would like to kick-off fortnightly calls on May 22nd at 9am Pacific, noon Eastern, 5pm UK, 6pm EU. We'll be sending out call-in details once we get all the tech questions sorted out. 😉

For now, though, please save that spot on your calendars, and share add your thoughts here or on https://github.com/json-ld/json-ld.org/issues to help queue up agenda items for the forthcoming calls.

Thanks for being here, and talk soon!
Benjamin
Co-Chair, W3C JSON-LD WG/CG
