ISSUE-26 [1] raises the question of how items are created and added to a container and contends that LDP is limited to creating resources of the same type as the request entity. It then goes on to point out that an alternative would be to follow a model which is more similar to how HTML forms work. Although there hasn't been any recent discussion on this, there has been quite a bit of exchange in the past. Yet, I think it's fair to say that no concrete proposal nor sense of convergence among the different parties involved came out of that discussion. At the same time, the issue does not relate to a real problem with the current spec. The spec does provide a way to create resources and add them to a container. So, at most the issue points out a limitation that could be addressed in the future. Given the need to close issues to remain on track with regard to our charter, I therefore propose that we close ISSUE-26 as is. Roger is free to add alternative creation models to the wish list (which he already has an action to create ;-) [1] http://www.w3.org/2012/ldp/track/issues/26 Regards. -- Arnaud Le Hors - Software Standards Architect - IBM Software Group
