Hi All, Today I joined the LDP and for that reason I decided to quickly write a short introduction email My name is Bart van Leeuwen and I represent netage.nl, a privatly held company specialized in software for fire departments. We build upon the experience of our team members in real fire fighting, I am myself still a active fire fighter in the city of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. We use semantic web technology specifically RDF to solve the problems with static data models in a environment where nothing is what it seems. My Interest for this working group is based on the 2 things 1) I slowly start to convince people that linked data is a part of the solution to these data interoperability issues. But when the question is asked 'show us the tools and standards' I can't really answer. I hope this group can help solve that problem 2) in the light of point 1) I hope to bring pragmatic and real world usage reports to the group, we have the ability to testdrive a lot of new technology in production environments at the fire department. >From the member list I guess I met a large part of the members already, and I'll be present in Lyon as well, so I'll update the wiki accordingly. I'll start reading up on the mailing list tonight so I can join in on the discussions. Met Vriendelijke Groet / With Kind Regards Bart van Leeuwen @semanticfire ############################################################## # netage.nl # http://netage.nl # Enschedepad 76 # 1324 GJ Almere # The Netherlands # tel. +31(0)36-5347479 ##############################################################
