Best regards Claudia ====================================================== Designing Accessible Mobile Services One-day Workshop organized at the IFIP TC 13 INTERACT 2021 conference August 30th, 2021, Bari, Italy (or online, if needed) <https://www.interact2021.org/workshops.php> https://www.interact2021.org/workshops.php Workshop information: <https://accessiblemaps.de/?page_id=867&lang=en> https://accessiblemaps.de/?page_id=867&lang=en ====================================================== CALL FOR PARTICIPATION This one-day workshop will address the most recent developments in universal design of mobile services and electronic travel aids, mapping services, and indoor navigation. In particular, we encourage researchers, designers and developers to exchange ideas on new assistive technologies which are needed, the methods of universal design for mobile services, and evaluation with users in a mobile context. In particular, the workshop addresses how people with low vision, people with physical impairments or cognitive impairments can benefit from assistive technology and geographic information systems. The workshop will provide opportunities to share ongoing work on various aspects of accessible mobile services. EXAMPLES OF RELEVANT TOPICS: - universal design of wearables - Requirements anaysis, development of personas - Allocentric and egocentric approaches to interaction with mobile devices - Multiple modalities to ensure users can travel efficiently and effectively - Blind spots in repositories for geographical information such as buildings - Evaluation of prototypic accessible mobile systems SUBMISSION DETAILS Prospective participants should submit papers of max. 4 pages length (including references) in Springer LNCS format by email to <mailto:interactworkshop@tu-dresden.de> interactworkshop@tu-dresden.de describing their experience, interest and views on designing mobile services. Work-in-progress contributions are welcome. Selected contributions might be invited for publication at a later date. SELECTION CRITERIA Submissions will be selected according to relevance, diversity of opinions, and probability of creating dynamic discussion. We plan to send out notifications on July 2nd 2021. If accepted, at least one author must register for the workshop at INTERACT 2021 ( <https://www.interact2021.org/> https://www.interact2021.org/ ).
