Summary of LIDER activities March - April 2015

below is a summary with further links of what happened related to LD4LT, mostly moved forward by the LIDER project. It follows the previous summaries sent out for January - February. More to follow in the next months.

Asunción Gómez Pérez gave an invited talk on “Linked Data and Language” at the 7th International Conference on Corpus Linguistic , 5-7 th March, 2015, Valladolid, Spain

The LD4LT group held phone calls dedicated to the following topics:
* the LIDER reference architecture <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TJPoDZK_rfDwAVo9dibSqd7Bz8g8y1qqAlsqK4PlQFw/edit>
* the language resource repository LingHub <https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1ZDzHYcgHvqzp_zK77vGFZ36kEMEmNt9rw7kBJmrhetQ/edit?usp=sharing>
In Berlin LIDER held a 2 1/2 day face-to-face meeting followed by 2 day a hackathon.

Work was continued in the BPMLOD <https://www.w3.org/community/bpmlod/> community group on patterns for linking multilingual information <https://www.w3.org/community/bpmlod/wiki/Teleconference,_26/03/2015>, and in the OntoLex <https://www.w3.org/community/ontolex/> community group on the Lemon model <https://www.w3.org/community/ontolex/wiki/Final_Model_Specification>.  

LIDER held roadmapping sessions at the SHARE-PSI workshop <https://www.w3.org/2013/share-psi/workshop/Timisoara/agenda>, 17 March, in Timișoara, Romania

Several LIDER participants supported the Open Letter to the EC on the multilingual digital single market <http://multilingualeurope.eu/>.

LIDER participants contributed to the update of Linguistic Linked Data cloud <http://linguistic-lod.org/> diagram and of the LingHub <http://linghub.lider-project.eu/> repository, both part of preparation for the Riga events (see below).

In the LD4LT group a call on the multilingual digital single market <https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-ld4lt/2015Apr/att-0000/LD4LT_2_4_2015_DigitalSingleMarket.pdf> was held.

LIDER participated in an IHTSDO meeting <http://www.ihtsdo.org/participate/attend-ihtsdo-events/ihtsdo-business-meeting> in Copenhagen to explore the relation of health care and linguistic linked data.

LIDER participants produced reference cards <http://www.lider-project.eu/guidelines> to help users of the LIDER reference architecture. The link http://www.lider-project.eu/guidelines <http://www.lider-project.eu/guidelines> will have the latest version of the reference cards and new ones will be added over time.

All LIDER partners participated in the Riga Summit on the Multilingual Digital Single Market <http://rigasummit2015.eu/>, 27-29 April. LIDER was present in the following way.

* We held a technology showcase demonstrating LingHub and other tooling developed within LIDER, and provided a poster summarizing the current state of LIDER.

* On day 1 (META-FORUM event) Asunción Gómez-Pérez participated in a panel on “Infrastructures, Platforms and Services for the Multilingual Digital Single Market”

* On day 1 (META-FORUM event)  session Dave Lewis presented a summary of research activities in the area of “Text and Data Value Chains for the Multilingual Digital Single Market and European Data Economy”.

* On day 1 (META-FORUM event) Roberto Navigli received the META prize <http://www.meta-net.eu/events/meta-forum-2015/talks/babelnet.pdf>. The price was in honour for the development of BabelNet <http://babelnet.org/>.

* On day 2 (Summit plenary) Asunción Gómez-Pérez participated in a panel on “Next Steps for Implementing the Multilingual Digital Single Market”

* On day 3 LIDER organised the 8th MultilingualWeb workshop <http://www.multilingualweb.eu/documents/2015-riga-workshop/2015-riga-program>, with presentations involving Asunción Gómez-Pérez, Philipp Cimiano, Dave Lewis, Roberto Navigli and Felix Sasaki.

* On day 3, LIDER contributed to a Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) event session on “Maximising (Re)Usability of Language Resources. Asunción Gómez-Pérez presented on “Linked Open Data”, and Dave Lewis on “Language Resource Standardization”
