Dear Sirs, Could you help me in posting a possible HTTP violation problem? I have sent a message with this problem to a public mailing list of the IETF HTTP-WG at «http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/ietf-http-wg/. But it have not appeared there. I am trying to post a message about some servers on the net that establish an encrypted connections under «http:» protocol and not under «https:». What, I am afraid, may unlawfully cut access to the Internet resource for some users. E. g., recent days, when I try to open «http://www.w3.org/community/accesslearn/ or «http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metric_system, I get the following messages respectively: “Could not establish an encrypted connection because certificate presented by www.w3.org is invalid or corrupted. Error Code: -8182” “Error establishing an encrypted connection to en.wikipedia.org. Error Code: -8092.” As far as I know, an HTTP is not intended for an encrypted connection. For this purpose, an HTTPS is intended. Best regards, Cyril.
