I've been involved extensively in the BPO industry as well as inbound and outbound call center and SAAS lead management system industry. This can be a very legally challenging industry to deal with when it comes to compliance. The main issue is the multiple jurisdictions that need to be taken into account. There are 3 main jurisdictions that will end up interacting and causing compliance issues: 1- Location of end user 2- Location of client 3- Location of call center We have created a major database of compliance issues. So our system automatically recognizes when, for example, a client in the UK can't be serviced by India by a US company for XYZ reasons. Based on this information, leads are loaded into our different systems. We currently have an old outdated site to handle these pay per head requests: http://www.betevodp.com/price-per-head.html I'd like to create a mark up for this, and hopefully bring this into a larger environment. Everyone involved in this industry could benefit, as the large a database, the more accurate and reliable it will be in signaling potential compliance issues to the outsourcing providers. We are currently selling information on a price per head basis, but we are looking to make it open source. If anyone has any ideas as to how we could get this rolling, it would be greatly appreciated. ---------- This post sent on Law and Technology Community Group 'Creating a Database of Legal Compliance for BPO and Call Center Outsourcing Companies' http://www.w3.org/community/law/2014/12/02/creating-a-database-of-legal-compliance-for-bpo-and-call-center-outsourcing-companies/ Learn more about the Law and Technology Community Group: http://www.w3.org/community/law
