Knowledge Graph Construction Workshop Challenge 2026 Edition!

Dear Knowledge Graph Community,

Whether you are a seasoned researcher or a developer pushing the boundaries of Knowledge Graph Construction (KGC), we invite you to put your tools to the test in this year’s KGC Challenge held as part of the KGC Workshop co-located with ESWC 2026 !

Why Participate?
Knowledge Graph construction remains a bottleneck in the data-to-intelligence pipeline. This challenge provides a standardized platform to benchmark different approaches.

The Challenges
This year, we are focusing on three distinct tracks:

  1. Performance Track: Processing massive heterogeneous datasets with minimal resource overhead.
  2. Conformance Track: Conformance test with latest modular RML spec.
  3. Mapping Methodology Track (NEW!): Exploring novel methodology to map heterogeneous data to KG. Participants are even strongly encouraged to move away from RML in favor of new mapping models, languages, automation or processing techniques. The focus is on innovation in how mappings are defined, and executed, as well as on demonstrating practical benefits such as (re-)usability, and expressiveness.

Key Dates
Since the conference is held early this year, participants have to indicate their interest in participation by filling this form<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdm4KQnrSM-1gOU-TsiwgmlvOymPKRpAfLutEXhB3kegF3ZVA/viewform>, latest by 28th Feb 2026 (AOE).
We apologize for the tight deadline.

All the technical specifications, datasets, and evaluation metrics are available on our official website: https://kg-construct.github.io/workshop/2026/challenge.html
We look forward to seeing your innovative solutions and pushing the state of the art in KGC together!

If there're any questions regarding the challenge details/organization of the challenge, please do not hesitate to reach out to me!

Best regards,
