Hi all, I've started a PR with this text (+ some changes Ted sent to me directly) into this PR: https://github.com/w3c/json-ld-syntax/pull/468 Please feel free to make contributions and suggestions (or just state your +1 to the effort). Once we give this a bit more time and review, we intend to add it to the various v1.1 specifications and to the upcoming v1.2 series. We'll miss him :( On Wed, 8 Oct 2025 at 16:29, Filip Kolarik <filip26@gmail.com<mailto:filip26@gmail.com>> wrote: Thank you, Benjamin. I never had the chance to meet Gregg in person, only online. Perhaps mention that he contributed to JSON-LD star, RDF star, RDF Canon, N-Quads, authored RDF Distiller, and many other projects. He truly went above and beyond, proactively finding related open-source projects, and always offering support, encouragement, and kindness to others. In my case, he even went through my PRs over the weekend, fixed my mistakes, and kept the work moving forward without saying a word or taking any credit. Gregg’s generosity, humility, and dedication left a lasting impression. What a remarkable person! I wanted to start here with some proposed text and then discuss again on today's calls which specifications (and where within them) we would like to add this text (or a likely improved version of it based on input from everyone). Here is an initial draft. Contributions are very welcome! ``` Gregg Kellogg was a central figure in the story of JSON-LD. He worked tirelessly on JSON-LD specifications until his death on September 6th, 2025. Gregg’s passion for solving hard problems with finesse was only exceeded by his willingness to work with others on arriving at that destination. The JSON-LD community will be forever grateful for Gregg’s consistent, careful, and kindly delivered contributions throughout JSON-LD’s most formative days. ``` Thank you all, Benjamin -- https://bigbluehat.com/ https://linkedin.com/in/benjaminyoung
