Can we merge PR #296?

Hi,

I’ve been carrying PR #296 forward in the agenda since February.

I think it represents a significant improvement with respect to the description of how an iXML processor produces XML output.

Absent explicit feedback to the contrary, I think we should agree to merge it at the next CG meeting.
