ixml Meeting Tuesday 16 March 2021 Present: J, M, S, T Agenda Previous Actions Community Group Website Specification Test Suite Next call Previous Actions ACTION: Steven to specify what happens when a name isn't an XML name ACTION: Steven to research where to put S for attributes. ACTION: Steven create W3C Community Group [Done] https://www.w3.org/community/groups/proposed/ https://www.w3.org/community/blog/2021/03/16/proposed-group-invisible-markup-community-group/ ACTION: All create W3C account Announcements J: My company dissolves this day! Community Group S: CG proposed: https://www.w3.org/community/blog/2021/03/16/proposed-group-invisible-markup-community-group/ ... please log in and support. We just need one more person. ACTION: Steven to publish CG on slack for support. Website M: I think I have some sort of admin access. Can I set up githib pages or something. T: I think you have access to the ixml group on github, which means you can do stuff there. ... github publishes anything we put there as the website. [General discussion about using github] Specification M: How are your spec actions? S: Continuing ;-) M: What was the decision on "any character" S: Last meeting we agreed to allow [] which matches no character, and therefore ~[] matches any character. J: How do you ensure that a rule is an acceptable xml name? S: The spec says that it is the responsibility of the author. J: What about namespapce binding? M: Open question T: It is on our list. Test Generation M: My general problem is that I have a largish FSA, and I need to make it deterministic in order to generate negative tests. ... It had 50k nonterminals! Ran out of memory. I need to find a way to generate negative test cases based on the non-terminal level, ... not at the character level. Work in progress! S: My method for XForms data types... M: It could produce a case that is actuall OK via another path. ... So it would have to be generate and test, to know whether it was a positive or negative test. T: How would you know if you had a complete set? M: You can measure any test suite to see its level of coverage. Next meeting Henceforth second Tuesday of each month, so next 13th April. 9 Standard Michael Time, 17 europe, 16 UK https://meet.google.com/dfz-rwpj-opq ACTIONS ACTION: Steven to specify what happens when a name isn't an XML name ACTION: Steven to research where to put S for attributes.
