Re: new ilp-kit node

Hey Abdi,

Sweet, thanks for setting that up!

Here are my peering details:

Public Key: O2iFQfe6OrmEIufXLzpZ1t5ElQGbIFHx1jR_wufXFCs
Hostname: nexus.justmoon.com
MQTT Broker: mqtt://broker.hivemq.com:1883

Let me know if you're interested in peering with me. If yes, send me your
peering details. (Tip: You can generate a private/public key pair by
running `node_modules/.bin/ilp-kit-config key`)

We also need to decide which currency we want to peer in. We can choose any
currency we want - doesn't have to be either of our ledgers' currencies.
Generally speaking, it makes sense to just use some reasonably stable fiat
currency, like EUR, USD or JPY. So I'd probably just suggest USD.

Another thought: If we peer, we also have to figure out a way to settle,
i.e. some out-of-band way that I can send money to you and vice versa. I
have Bitcoin, XRP and PayPal. If there isn't a good way for me to settle
with you directly, maybe what we should do instead is for you to peer with
Adrian in South Africa and for me to peer with Adrian. If that was easier
for everybody, it'd be a great example for the value in using a multi-hop
protocol like ILP. :)

Hi everyone

A new Kenya based node up at https://kes-ilp.abdishakur.com/ , have also
added to Known Nodes on github page, looking forward to experimenting with
others on it.

Hi,

is there already some node moving "real" money? Any pointer on how to
become a connector?

Javier also pointed out that there is no public endpoint that exposes
enough data to "crawl" the network anymore unless I am missing something.

It would be great to have a "/connector" endpoint that has connector
meta-data and can be used to discover other connectors.

Awesome!

Some of the issues you describe may be addressed with the new peering
method (using ilp-plugin-virtual.) Right now, Adrian's connector would have
to have an account on your ledger and vice versa for it to work properly.
With the new flow you just need to both extend trust to one another.

connector pair: (dimi@ilp.bigchaindb.com, dimi@zar-ilp.hopebailie.com) -
runs on ilp.bigchaindb.com and peers with za.zar.hopebailie.adrian

Some remarks:
- I am getting Transfer expireds now and then, having my connector lose
money (oh NO!)
- For sending from ilp.bigchaindb.com to zar-ilp.hopebailie.com, I only get
quotes when filling in the ZAR value, not for the EUR value.
- For sending from zar-ilp.hopebailie.com to ilp.bigchaindb.com, I get no
quotes for either ZAR or EUR.

Great! I like the domain :)

I see you have already added it to the wiki:
https://github.com/interledgerjs/ilp-kit/wiki/Known-ILP-Nodes

Is there anyone interested in writing a basic network crawler to gather
data about available routes and connectors? Seems like a fun project.
