Hi CG, I have submitted the following HTML5 bugs 24986<https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=24986>, 24977<https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=24997>, 25005<https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=25005> and 25044<https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=25044>, reflecting the discussion we’ve had on the mailing list. I have not submitted a bug for setting inBandMetadataTrackDispatchType in the case of DASH. The prevailing approach to DASH implementations appear to use MSE (as opposed to DASH MPD processing by the UA). It seems to me that all audio, video and text track attributes for DASH will be set by the Web application, since it is processing the MPD. So, related to Silvia’s earlier email on this topic<http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-inbandtracks/2014Mar/0017.html>, I think we need MSE to add label and inBandMetadataTrackDispatchType attributes to not be read only. Thoughts? Regards, Bob
