Hello, people of the immersive web! There will be no CG call on Tuesday, but TPAC is this week! If your name is on the IW TPAC schedule for Thursday and Friday <https://github.com/immersive-web/administrivia/blob/master/TPAC-2018/schedule.md> then do take a bit of time to prepare. If at all possible please send out a few links to the group with context for your session so that everyone can arrive informed and prepared to work. As usual, if you feel that an open Issue or PR needs attention then use this thread or GitHub @mentions to coordinate that work. If you feel that an Issue or PR is stalled and the group is talking past each other then reach out directly to me and I'll either add it to a Tuesday call or work with you to find another way to get it unstuck. - Trevor *CG Activity Summary:* *Proposals:* - #31 Diorama-style content <https://github.com/immersive-web/proposals/issues/31> (by NellWaliczek) - #29 design "Lite AR Mode" that doesn't require permissions/consent equivalent to camera <https://github.com/immersive-web/proposals/issues/29> (6 by rcabanier, blairmacintyre, tencircles) - #32 Create a metadata vocabulary for WebXR content <https://github.com/immersive-web/proposals/issues/32> (by ronpadz) - #27 Lighting estimation for WebXR <https://github.com/immersive-web/proposals/issues/27> (2 by kyungtae, blairmacintyre) *Anchors:* *Hit-test:* *Geo-alignment:* - *#1 A note about compass data <https://github.com/immersive-web/geo-alignment/issues/1> (1 by blairmacintyre)* *Privacy and security:* - #5 Address real-world object detection <https://github.com/immersive-web/privacy-and-security/issues/5> (3 by johnpallett, blairmacintyre) - #3 Address user perception that the page has access to camera data <https://github.com/immersive-web/privacy-and-security/issues/3> (1 by johnpallett) - #12 Consider defenses against Malicious Entity Injection (MEI) <https://github.com/immersive-web/privacy-and-security/issues/12> (1 by blairmacintyre) - #6 Address long-running vs. session-based permissions <https://github.com/immersive-web/privacy-and-security/issues/6> (1 by johnpallett) - #5 Address real-world object detection <https://github.com/immersive-web/privacy-and-security/issues/5> - #15 Explainer += [Cameras, Permissions] <https://github.com/immersive-web/privacy-and-security/pull/15> (by johnpallett) - #14 Explainer.md += [Image,Object] Detection <https://github.com/immersive-web/privacy-and-security/pull/14> *Admin:* The administrivia repo <https://github.com/immersive-web/administrivia> and project <https://github.com/immersive-web/administrivia/projects/1> has all of the gory details of what the chairs and editors are doing to keep the CG and WG moving. *Trevor Flowers* 🌸🌸 trevor@transmutable.com Principal at Transmutable <https://transmutable.com/> Friend of the Wider Web <https://trevor.smith.name/publish/exformation/10300/>
