Re: Immersive Web CFP (1/2) - Moving WebXR-WebGPU-Binding to the IWWG

I approve :) 

It would be great to encourage sites to move off of WebGL or at least give them the option of doing so. Google, Apple, and Mozilla all shipped WebGPU in their browser engines now and there seems to be an effort to encourage new code to use WebGPU.

Until we have the same support for WebXR to use WebGPU then we are holding back those efforts by requiring immersive content to use WebGL. I realize sites using frameworks are less impacted, but even the frameworks (e.g., three.js, PlayCanvas, etc) have the burden of two backend rendering APIs until WebGPU is fully supported by WebXR.
