-------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Publishing CG Final Report, Recommendations for accessible captions in 360 degree video Date: Wed, 3 Apr 2024 14:27:01 -0400 From: Michael Cooper <cooper-a11y@aihal.net> To: Roy Ran <ran@w3.org> CC: APA Chairs <group-apa-chairs@w3.org>, public-immersive-captions-cg@w3.org cc APA chairs, Immersive Captions CG Hi Roy - thanks for migrating the repository for the Immersive Captions CG. As you know, the RQTF approached us to ask if they could take it up as an APA deliverable. The group agreed that is ok, though I suggested we also publish the document as a CG Final Report to close things off in the transfer. The group agreed today to do this with the current version of the document. So to close two loops: 1) The Immersive Captions CG approves the APA taking over further development of the document now at https://w3c.github.io/immersive-captions-cg/360-captions/. 2) The CG also requests publication of the above document as a Community Group Final Report. I have prepared a pull request at https://github.com/w3c/immersive-captions-cg/pull/1 that should have the necessary changes. One thing Respec asked for was that the "latest version URI" be a w3.org URI, seeming to suggest a pattern like https://www.w3.org/community/reports/immersive-captions/360-captions/. I'm not sure what the latest rules are on CG Final Reports but the above URI may need to be set up as part of this. Thanks for the help! Michael
