Hi, I'm professor in autonomous systems at Halmstad University in Sweden and I've been working with ICN from 2016 in different contexts, many of them related to mobile networks and IoT. The work I develop involving ICN also includes combined approaches using IP-based technologies (DTN and SDN) in order to address the needs of different applications, as well as to interface ICN with exiting IP-based networks. You can check my publications at scholar google: https://scholar.google..com.br/citations?user=d6vo3uwAAAAJ&hl=en&oi=ao I believe we should establish the main and specific goals of the group.. What do we want to achieve? How this would be done? How would the work in the group be organized to achieve these goals? How to motivate more relevant people in the area participate in the group? Even you said that the group will not publish specifications, maybe at least some kind of documentation, such as white papers or principals for standards should be aimed, otherwise, we will have no relevance in the area. I mean, we should consider issuing some kind of documentation. A standard, an RFC, or a specification would be the best, but if not, we have to think about something else that somehow could create an impact in the area and justifies the existence of the group. I'm open to discuss ICN-related topics and possible developments/outcomes we can do together, just contact me. Best rregards, Edison. It is a open connectivity-platform, used to connect any app to any sensor. I would like to contribute to the internet being an open, de-centralized/distributed place which can serve as an open platform for vendors and consumers and communities. Z-Mesh features include: * Hybrid Naming Scheme: Network-ID + Content-Name * Configurable Content Name structure (for wildcard support) * Publish/Subscribe * Each network has own Message Authentication Code (only known devices can participate) * Frame Sequence Number (Incremented every time Content Name is updated) * Device Management built-in * Thin application layer for most common data-types * Encryption- and MAC- algorithm agnostic * Support for Firmware update over-the-air * Cyber-Resilience-Act compliance We have implemented Z-Mesh in products like accelerometers, temp/humid- and motion sensors and Forwarders are used as Content Stores. Learn more about our Z-Mesh here: https://z-mesh.org Feel free to contact me for a quick online talk on anything ICN-related. -- Venlig hilsen / Kind regards Anders Dam Kofoed Founder :: Aer Networks Web: https://AerNetworks.com On 10/06/2025 04.35, Kyra wrote: > Hello all, > > Please use this thread to introduce yourselves and your interest in > this group.
