Welcome & Introductions

Hello all,

Please use this thread to introduce yourselves and your interest in this
group. I hope this can be a good space to connect the W3C community with
Information Centric Networking—the two parallel projects leading this
effort being Named Data Networking (NDN) and Content Centric Networking
(CCN), the former being based on a pre-1.0 version of the latter. As noted
in this group's description, we will not publish specifications.

My name is Kyra, based in the US and in the process of moving from the
south to the north, so my time is stretched thin to put it lightly for now.
I am a software engineer for a small/medium startup by trade, but I have
always been a proponent of free/libre software, formats, and standards.
I've previously worked as a campaigns manager for the Free Software
Foundation, and care especially about architectures that take major leaps
ahead, hence my hope to see ICN unify the existing efforts and gain
momentum as a real alternative to Internet Protocol (IP).

Thanks to those who have joined thus far!

Best,
Kyra
