Folks, We have a pretty good set of (around 20) experts in the Southeast Asian Layout task force group already, although i'm still reaching out to others, and haven't yet broadcast the group's existence widely. We've also had some interesting and useful discussion in the github issues list, and i look forward to that continuing. I think we have already found a couple of things that will eventually affect the design of the CSS spec. I wanted to let you know that I am beginning to capture in document form the knowledge that can be gleaned from the issue list. I just posted a link to a document called Javanese Script Gap Analysis at https://github.com/w3c/sealreq. You are welcome to raise issues against the content of that document, as i try to distill what i'm learning about SE Asian script support on the Web.* I plan to begin similar documents for Thai, Lao, Khmer, and any other scripts for which we are accruing information, so that the information can be easily found and referenced. So please watch out for those. Of course, you are also welcome to suggest text for the documents. best regards, and keep up the good work, Richard. * The W3C has other task forces which have traditionally been focused on producing documents, typically including a substantial layout requirements document that describes how a writing system works in a technology-agnostic way. This is then coupled with a gap-analysis document. For now, i'll try to summarise the way the script works in the gap-analysis documents as well as describing gaps i'm aware of. (I'm also adding information to my personal pages at https://r12a.github.io/doclist#scriptnotes.)
