Hi Weizhe, Let me comment on the latter part first - the change to the GB25914-2010 document downgrading from "mandatory" to "recommended". With the current state of consensus on the encoding, this makes sense to me - to say that the contents are "recommended" rather than "mandatory". As this is the cut-off date of September 12 already, I wonder if you can help file two comments for me on the document? I looked at the URL, but it would take me awhile to sort through how to do things in Chinese. Could you help? Observation #1 Page 13 - bottom of the page, section 9. U+1836 - both columns specify the use of the FVS1 - this is a typo that should be fixed I think from the documentation at page 30, the second use of the FVS1 should be deleted Observation #2 Page 28 U+182D section The line for ZWJ + U+182D is missing which makes the specification for this important area of the U+182D-Final very confusing and has led to errors in several font implementations - this should be fixed. It would seem that the column "ga final form" refers to ZWJ+182D. And that the final column "ZWJ+U+182D+FVS1" refers to the first variant. It would seem that this one line contains two glyphs that are actually the same form but two differing positions. I suggest the following listing ... [cid:image009.jpg@01D20CE1.87E36F90] Then make a footnote to the effect that although the first and second final forms are indeed the same glyph, the second final form is needed to over-ride the default context of the first final form in several words. Thanks for anything that you can do here, Greg From: Weizhe Zheng [mailto:wzheng@math.ac.cn] Sent: Sunday, September 11, 2016 10:02 PM To: public-i18n-mongolian@w3.org Subject: Ali Gali final forms; GBT Dear all, I learned from Dr. Yihua Wang that there are many Ali Gali final forms in Da Zang Quan Zhou (complete collection of mantras) not yet covered by the proposal or any major font. Attached are pictures of these forms in DZQZ. -g: Mo 183A [mug_183A] -k: Mo 1889, Ma 186C [myak_1889_186C] -T: Mo 188C, Ma 18A0 [miT_188C_189E] -D: Mo 188E, Ma 1877 [SaD_188E_1877] -N: Mo=Ma 188F [daN_188F_188F] -d: Mo 1891 [nud_1891] According to Yihua, who went through all 7000 pages of XBDZQZ, there is also -t (Mo 1890, Ma 18A0), but I was unable to find an example in the first 900 pages of XBDZQZ. On a different note, GB 25914-2010, the Chinese standard for the encoding of Mongolian proper, is planned to be downgraded from "mandatory" to "recommended" (GBT). Feedback on this conversion can be submitted till Sep. 12: http://qb.sacinfo.org.cn/pub/file/stdshgs?1=1&pageSize=10&q=25914&p1=stdCode&p8=2 Weizhe
