Hi all, I talked to some people in the W3C communications team. The general feedback is to use "this version links" for several reasons: - ids in different versions are not necessarily stable - content changes in different versions, and a link might not be appropriate anymore - content might disappear It seems there is also no difference whether the citing document is normative or not. As a proposal to *also* include "latest version" links, I heard s.t. like: "section x [1] of spec [2] [3] [1] this v link [2] this v. link [3] link to bibliography, which contains both "this v." and "latest v." information. Also, it was proposed to have a paragraph in the "how to read this document" section, explaining our policy regarding links within the prose text to other specs. Felix
