So when I use this to parse सद्बुद्धि it produces the result shown in the
attached picture. The font I have shows a visible virama but there are
only three syllables. This is also the conclusion one draws from the
rules themselves.
There had previously been a suggestion that in such a situation there
are two syllables, rather than one. (See my email asking about that at
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-i18n-indic/2014AprJun/0000.html)
Is this the case? Is it different in Hindi versus, say, Tamil? I think
this is currently an important question to resolve for CSS spec work.
