Following web design lists

During this week's telecon I mentioned that I am doing useful outreach by participating on the Web Standards Group mailing list.

I believe that in every one of a number of interventions I have so far made to answer questions on that list, I've been able to point to material on the i18n website. It has, all the same, thrown up ideas for additional material we could write.

I proposed that others consider joining other lists.

One possibility that came to light today is http://www.webdesign-l.com/ . I know nothing about it other than what's on their website. I signed up for the digest, but will probably not stay longer than to get a flavour of the list - I have lots to keep me busy with WSG.

Could I ask, however, that if you decide to monitor such a list that you manage your time so that you can still follow and respond to GEO mail. That has to take priority, if the goal is to expand GEO outreach ;-)

Cheers,
RI
