All, It is already in the agenda for tomorrow, but I wanted to call it out anyway... so that you can read it in advance. The current text is in this document: * https://w3c.github.io/bp-i18n-specdev/#characters * https://w3c.github.io/bp-i18n-specdev/#char_truncation I substantially reworked both of these sections in the PR we reviewed last week. Since last week's call, I have gone even further, replacing most examples, and refrying most of the text. Most notably, I merged the section derived from Character Model: Fundamentals text into the character introduction. I rewrote some of the requirements (very slightly) to be consistent with the text we just wrote. I disappeared items that were duplicative. I have stopped short of going into the other charmod-derived sections, but they also should be revisited (possibly with a heavy hand). Please read the preview in advance of our discussion tomorrow. File comments, if you feel so moved, on the PR: PR: * https://github.com/w3c/bp-i18n-specdev/pull/153 Previews: * https://deploy-preview-153--bp-i18n-specdev.netlify.app/#characters * https://deploy-preview-153--bp-i18n-specdev.netlify.app/#char_truncation thanks! Addison -- Addison Phillips Chair (W3C Internationalization WG) Internationalization is not a feature. It is an architecture.
