The minutes of Thursday's discussion between myself and the TTML group are now available at https://www.w3.org/2017/03/23-tt-minutes.html#item02 Items covered include 1. addition of sideways- values to writingMode, 2. default position for lines, ruby, and emphasis-marks (if those are used) alongside vertical lines of text in tblr writingMode (ie. the primary Mongolian use). 3. support for bopomofo ruby. Glenn is thinking over the case for the sideways- values. You'll see that i wasn't able to convince the group to change the default for tbrl writing mode so that lines next to mongolian vertical text and ruby appear automatically to the right of the line when writingMode:tblr is used. However, they did agree to include a note in the spec that tells Mongolian users how to set their styling so that this happens. The TTML group wants to delay bopomofo ruby support until TTML.next, because they have had no requests for support. They will hopefully add a note, again, explaining this and asking people who feel it is needed to contact them. hth, ri
