The CSS Working Group has published an updated Working Draft of CSS Ruby Level 1: http://www.w3.org/TR/css-ruby-1/ This module describes the rendering model and formatting controls related to displaying ruby annotations in CSS. This new publication includes a rewrite of the box generation and white space handling rules, along with updates to the pairing section to accommodate the changes. http://www.w3.org/TR/2014/WD-css-ruby-1-20140805/#box-fixup The changes here are intended to correct errors, improve white space handling, and generally tighten up the spec to define handling of various inputs. The section on bidi handling of ruby has also been filled out. http://www.w3.org/TR/2014/WD-css-ruby-1-20140805/#bidi The changes are listed in the Changes section: http://www.w3.org/TR/2014/WD-css-ruby-1-20140805/#changes Future plans are to fill out more details on layout and, of course, address all your feedback on this revision. Please send any comments to the archived mailing list, <www-style@w3.org>, and please, prefix the subject line with [css-ruby] (as I did on this message). For the CSS WG, ~fantasai
