I18N-ISSUE-255: CJK Compatibility ideographs [klreq] http://www.w3.org/International/track/issues/255 Raised by: Richard Ishida On product: klreq Reported by: Norbert Lindenberg While CJK compatibility ideographs (U+F900~ and up) are mentioned several times, there's no mention of CJK ideographs (block U+4E00~ and others). Korean nowadays is normally written in Hangul, but still uses CJK ideographs occasionally - some examples: 英 on http://news.naver.com/main/read.nhn?mode=LSD&mid=shm&sid1=104&oid=008&aid=0003032139 中, 北, 非 on http://www.yonhapnews.co.kr/bulletin/2013/04/18/0200000000AKR20130418006651071.HTML 靑, 與 on http://news.naver.com/main/read.nhn?mode=LSD&mid=shm&sid1=100&oid=001&aid=0006210749 Figure 19 shows a far higher percentage of CJK ideographs.
