macnmm has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/i18n-drafts: == [questions/qa-upright-counters-in-vertical] first example not mainstream enough? == [source] (https://w3c.github.io/i18n-drafts/questions/qa-upright-counters-in-vertical.html) [en] Putting the "1." horizontally in a vertical line, rather than using Kanji numbers and punctuation below, seems to me to be unusual and perhaps a function of layout software defaulting on non-native numbering systems in the solutions that show that kind of layout. I would be surprised if that style of tate-chu-yoko with proportional numbering is the majority use case or expected by most.
