xfq has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/clreq: == Add information about how emphasis and highlighting are achieved == [Japanese Layout Requirements ](https://w3c.github.io/jlreq/#composition_of_emphasis_dots)lists the following ways of showing emphasis in Japanese. 1. Select a different typeface (eg. a Gothic font in Mincho text). 2. Use [「] U+300C LEFT CORNER BRACKET and [」] U+300D RIGHT CORNER BRACKET, or [〈] U+3008 LEFT ANGLE BRACKET and [〉] U+3009 RIGHT ANGLE BRACKET. 3. Change the colour. 4. Underline. 5. Boten marks (also known as emphasis marks). We can also consider listing how to express emphasis or highlight text in Chinese (maybe sorting from commonly used to less commonly used?). (See also [Ethiopic](https://www.w3.org/TR/elreq/#h_emphasis) and [Tibetan](https://www.w3.org/TR/tlreq/#emphasis_and_highlighting).)
