Re: [alreq] Changes to structure and revision of section on Arabic manuscript practice (#208)

Thanks for your detailed comments, I am glad that you find it an improvement. Regarding the structural changes, I had imagined that there was exactly the intention that you described, but didn't want to make further changes before discussing it.
I agree that it makes perfect sense to have a background section and a 'developers' section. Maybe some headings and subheadings could also be improved to reflect this more clearly. For example a section could be called 'Text processing' or the like, and then include 'Characters and words', 'Paragraphs', etc. In my opinion things that are currently under the 'Arabic script overview' section may also fit better in that section. The way joining properties are described there is very technical and specific to current (typographic) models, rather than aspects of the script per se. Likewise I think that 'Fonts' should be under 'Typography', etc. Also currently there is no distinction between typographic issues, and type-making issues. This is important because type-making is only of marginal relevance for text-processing developers, whereas typographic considerations should be quite central. So yes, some things to consider. :-)

I've never had to split a PR, but will try to do something along these lines that will make it easier to incorporate the changes.
