Now one can find phone numbers like +1.234-456-7890 or +1.234.456.7890

BTW, some W3C press releases are translated into Arabic. Phones are 
now using a dot to separate numbers.  Before that, I used to span them
 with ltr direction to get the right display.
<span dir="ltr">+1.234 456 7890</span>
