Dear HCG, There are many issues around media, including, for example, capture, streaming, DRM, privacy, accessibility, and compression, that may be relevant to more than one W3C group. To address this, several media-related task forces have been formed to address cross-group issues, including the Web and TV Interest Group [1,2], Web RTC and Device API's [3], part of the HTML5 Accessibility TF [4], and there may be others as well. If the groups involved see a benefit in a broader coordination of media-related activities, please consider making use of the HCG mailing list and phone calls for discussion of any issues that potentially involve several groups.
