Heads up: Last Call Working Draft of Progress Events; Dec 2 - Jan 13 2011

To: HTML WG, SVG WG, DAP WG,

Earlier today, WebApps started a 2-week Call for Consensus to publish a
LCWD of the Progress Events spec:

   http://dev.w3.org/2006/webapi/progress/

Assuming there is consensus to publish this LCWD, our tentative plan is:
to publish the LC on December 2 with a 6-week comment period ending
January 13; and to explicitly ask your WG to review the LC.

If this tentative publishing plan is problematic for your WG, please
notify us as soon as possible and before November 29.

-Thanks, Art Barstow

Anne has addressed all of the open Actions and Issue for Progress Events
[A&I]. As such, he proposes it be published as a Last Call Working Draft
and this is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to do so:

    http://dev.w3.org/2006/webapi/progress/

This CfC satisfies the group's requirement to "record the group's
decision to request advancement" for this LCWD. Note that as specified
in the Process Document [PD], a Working Group's Last Call announcement
is a signal that:

* the Working Group believes that it has satisfied its relevant
technical requirements (e.g., of the charter or requirements document)
in the Working Draft;

* the Working Group believes that it has satisfied significant
dependencies with other groups;

As with all of WebApps' CfCs, positive response is preferred and
encouraged and silence will be assumed to be assent. The deadline for
comments is November 29. Please send all comments to:

     public-webapps@w3.org

Assuming there is consensus to publish this LCWD, the tentative
publication plan is to publish it on December 2 with a 6-week comment
period ending January 13 2011.
