WebApps' publication status is available at: http://www.w3.org/2008/webapps/wiki/PubStatus Since my last WebApps WG status report to the HCG [1], new publications are: * Widget Updates Over HTTP (new title): new WD published 13 April. This WD includes the Widget Updates PAG's recommendations * Digital Signatures for Widgets (new title): new LCWD 15 April. To address comments submitted, a new LC will be published (tentatively 11 May) * Widget Access Request Policy (WARP): CR published 20 April * View Mode Media Feature: LC published 20 April (comment period ends 18 May); we request comments from the CSS community The group will submit use case and requirements for interfaces related to view modes to the CSS WG's CSSOM spec. We still have an open action to provide Bert with some data related to our timeline expectations for the CSSOM spec: http://www.w3.org/2008/webapps/track/actions/530 There was a relatively lengthy thread "Client side JavaScript i18n API" related to adding I18N support to JavaScript. This could be an area where ECMA and W3C could work together. AFAIK, no WG in W3C is chartered to do the type of work being proposed. See: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webapps/2010AprJun/ 0301.html http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dhttrq5v_0c8k5vkdh http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webapps/2010AprJun/ 0355.html The widgets sub-group is interested in moving from CVS to DVCS. If anyone has done this, I would be very interested in hearing about the experience. Comments for WebApps's proposed charter extension ended 29 April: http://www.w3.org/2010/webapps/charter/Overview.html -Art Barstow [1] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-hypertext-cg/ 2010AprJun/0000.html
