Re: Planning to close Hydra Community Group due to inactivity unless we hear from you

Hi,

I'm a member of the popular [API Platform](https://api-platform.com) framework that uses JSON-LD and Hydra as base formats, also supporting JSON:API and JSON HAL. We're convinced that linked data and hypermedia is at the heart of the web and we spread the word through the framework, also selling these technologies to our clients. Thanks to the auto-discoverability of these formats, among other tools, we're able to provide a [generated backoffice](https://api-platform.com/docs/admin/) essentially based on [Hydra Core Vocabulary](https://www.hydra-cg.com/), you can also find the [Javascript module](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@api-platform/api-doc-parser).

I've setup lots of projects with Hydra, also recently asked something on the mailing list but didn't got answered yet (title: Enumeration as an API Resource).

I think that we should not close this group or maybe replace it by a topic on the JSON-LD mailing list to keep a way to exchange between each others.

For example a hyperlink can be turned into a form or an anchor depending on its properties. The result is an automatically generated web application which can be even customized if I add custom rules to the generator. Not sure if the same concept is applicable to a different context, but I guess it could be used for translation between APIs too.

To convince someone to use Hydra in a professional project it requires a lot more popularity and to increase popularity we need a lot more blog posts, tutorials, etc. about it, not to mention comparisons with other REST technologies, advantages/disadvantages, etc.

I've been keeping an eye on Hydra since it's an effort in an adjacent space but never got an excuse to work with it since I have not encountered a tool/platform exposing a Hydra endpoint. I would love to have an excuse to play with some Hydra APIs, even better if one is in the engineering tooling domain!
