Ofc. it doesn't. The original question was not about RQL (which is a
poorly designed non-standard query language) it was more about how to
use query languages with Hydra, or should a query language be part of
Hydra. But we closed that part of the discussion, since it can be
solved with a single query parameter having an rdf:type from a query
language vocab.

Yes that is a possible solution. Another possible solution to have a
REST service which supports ad-hoc queries using a query language
vocab.
