Hi All, Apologies for the lack of activity. It would be good to set-up a teleconference, let me know who is interested. I think, we could / should discuss, a. the intended goals & purpose of this group b. the vision of what "Human Centric AI" should mean. c. Administrative considerations - ie: a vote to determine who is best to be the chairperson for the group. d. projects and suggestions people may have, about the sorts of things they'd like to progress via the group. I have been working on a 'browser extension' to demonstrate how 'social web' functionality might be built into browsers; the target 'personal data-server' (POD) method is intended to be solid. I understand there are a range of options, particularly via the mydata.org community; I am open to discussing what might be suggested by others, and am currently severely resource poor; and need some help with development. Last year, I attempted to bring together an ISOC Human Centric AI SIG; which I think was indirectly successful. Whilst my proposal did not succeed, an alternative 'AI SIG' was successful, and I believe there are future opportunities for collaboration. I will provide more information about this as the implications become clearer overtime. Nonetheless, my attempts to find resources to support these very important works, have as yet failed. I have also been experiencing health problems, which i've not been able to address as yet, as such, am sparingly living on pain-killers until the issue is able to be addressed (requiring Maxillofacial surgery);and, generally otherwise, i've been alerted to broad-ranging health systems problems, that i've been working to address but haven't considered these works to be directly related to these W3C Human Centric AI CG scope of works, at this time. Note also, https://dpi-safeguards.org/ has been established and whilst i was a recipient of the request, due to the impact pain has on my ability to concentrate, i've not responded. I believe this is a positive step-forward and supports the underlying view that there needs to be an array of safety protocols developed. Therein, some progress is being made... one of the events that i thought was pivotal, were the remarks during the IGF: https://www.youtube.com/clip/UgkxNNoH3uluw9VWVmwNrcLTkSXp6l4gCjQy (noting, i was in the chat-room area, advocating for human rights supports).. There is some activity happening behind the scenes, and i am hopeful for progress in this area generally. About the Agreements proposal I have attached a link to a document I have only recently put together. Part of the reason why I sought to bring about this CG was to address safety protocols for human centric AI, whereby user relationships do not necessarily require a 3rd party platform intermediary. Earlier considerations about how to form agreements between one-another, considered both, 1. The need to figure out how to adapt the use of UN instruments to support obligations between one-another, rather than those obligations being merely placed upon the state. 2. How to incorporate these instruments via RDF / SemWeb documents; that can then be used when establishing relationships with others online, or in the process of managing relationships with others online. I initially called this concept 'values credentials' as it was about the values people have and seek to be known to have; in their dealings with others, online and otherwise. I have since updated the considerations due to various influences that have occurred overtime, including the 'debates' engaged in via UN Digital Compact related efforts; whereby, it became clearer that online agreements are for the most part - mandates - not agreements. People don't really get to choose... I think my first post about this area of consideration, was in 2014: https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webpayments/2014Jul/0043.html so, its been a long time and alot has been done over that time; but yet, we do not have a good 'agreements' standard... so, I'm suggesting that we look at working towards addressing that problem. The Document referred to below [1] seeks to outline considerations relating to the production of an 'agreements' standard. This work, would in-turn lead to considerations about 'wallets' (or how they're stored), interactions with agents (or how they're employed / managed), and how the employment of works in this area, may in-turn both act to provide an important set of tools for human centric ai / personal ai agents; social web functionality, and, the means through which it may impact alternative practices employed presently via the web, and otherwise more generally. IF You are interested in contributing toward the development of this proposal and related works, please let me know; whilst I note also, that feedback is also most welcomed... One very simple 'work-flow' is illustrated here[2], however the scope of these works is still being considered, processed and better documented. The notion of defining an 'agreements standard' for the web, wasn't previously considered. As I digested the notion, I started to become more aware of the tremendous implications brought about by both the apparent lack of reasonably similar solutions, as well as the potentially enormous benefits for creating something - that works good... (to put it simply). best wishes, Timothy Holborn https://www.linkedin.com/in/ubiquitous/ [1] https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MZ_jhKd8MC2D3c91VsKl7auHmv4xqLfq2nusA1Tl3ko/edit?usp=sharing [2] https://github.com/WebCivics/SocialWeb-WebExtensionDev-v4/blob/main/valuecredentials/flow.md
